objekts Notebook | Issue 18 | 2026 The Shows
We’ve been putting in the study time - reading, listening, meeting with our network of reps and manufacturers, and traveling to Milan, Las Vegas, and Chicago. All of it comes together in a report that looks at what’s trending now alongside the pieces that continue to prove their staying power.
Because every project needs a bit of both, we’re excited to share our latest issue of The Notebook.

objekts Edit: NeoCon
The team is back from walking The Mart and Fulton Market in Chicago. We're on the lookout for themes carrying through all of the design shows (Salone, HD Expo, and 3 Days of Design), the latest developments in furniture, and designs with longevity and staying-power over the years.

objekts Edit: HD Expo
A few of the objekts team popped down to HD Expo to take in the latest in hospitality design. Moving through Vegas hotels, restaurants, and the actual show offered up plenty of research material, and a few themes rose to the top.

objekts Edit: Salone del Mobile
If you’ve ever joined the 300,000 descending on Milan for Salone del Mobile, you know the challenge: absorbing even a fraction of the fair, let alone Fuorisalone. Fortunately, Doug McKenzie and Amy Trulson, alongside Mathias Collective’s Jenn Crawford and Fuller Hanan, did the heavy lifting. They’ve returned with a curated edit of objekts of desire—and more than a few ideas poised to shape upcoming projects.

Shop Small with Us - objekts Studio Decor
We've settled into our Belltown studio over several years and since we recently refreshed our furniture, it was time for an accessories update as well. We knew we wanted to source pieces from local and minority-owned makers while leaning into the playful and sophisticated tone already set in the studio.

Tambour, Tile, and Plants - Designing Custom Furniture for Midstation’s Atrium
Our team partnered with JPC Architects and Unico to develop a bar-height table that hit the marks of function and form. Outfitted with integrated power and bag hooks along the length, the table invites tenants who are looking for a change of scenery.
